The Newfound Regional Bears (Bristol, NH) football overcame the visiting Franklin Tornadoes (Franklin, NH), 18-6 in Saturday's league bout.
In their next game, the Bears face the Newport Tigers (Newport, NH) in a Division IV bout, on Saturday, September 24. Newfound Regional will attempt to move on its 1-1 season record. The Tigers enter the bout with a 2-0 record after their 48-19 league win over Winnisquam (Tilton, NH).
The Tornadoes (0-2) will now prepare for their bout against Somersworth (Somersworth, NH). The Toppers enter the Division IV bout with a 2-0 record. In their last bout, Somersworth thwarted Mascoma (Canaan, NH), 49-14, in a league bout.
