The Surrey Mustangs (Surrey, ND) football nudged the host Tioga Pirates (Tioga, ND), 34-28 in Saturday's league bout.
In their next game, the Mustangs face the St. John Woodchucks (St. John, ND) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 23. Surrey will attempt to move on its 2-2 season record. The Woodchucks enter the bout with a 3-2 record after their 58-14 league win over Dunseith (Dunseith, ND).
