In Saturday's non-league battle, the host Southmont Mounties soccer squad scored a close 1-0 triumph over the Benton Central Bison.
The Mounties (6-5) will now prepare for their battle against Cascade (Clayton, IN). The Cadets come into the non-league battle with a 4-5 record. In their last battle, Cascade was nudged by Danville (Danville, IN), 2-1, in a non-league battle.
The Bison (7-3) will now prepare for their battle against Lafayette Central Catholic (Lafayette, IN). The Knights come into the Hoosier battle with a 2-10 record. In their last battle, Lafayette Central Catholic was nudged by Harrison (West Lafayette, IN), 3-0, in a non-league battle.
