The Merrillville Pirates smashed the visiting Lowell Red Devils soccer squad by a margin of 5-1 in Saturday's non-league match.
The Pirates now sport a 3-6 record. They play next when they host Michigan City for a Duneland match on Wednesday, September 21. Merrillville will encounter a Wolves squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Morgan Township (Valparaiso, IN). The Wolves record now stands at 1-11.
