Pueblo County Hornets (Pueblo, CO) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Eagle Valley Devils (Gypsum, CO), 13-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Hornets now own a 11-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pueblo Centennial for a 4A South Central challenge on Tuesday, September 20. Pueblo County will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 19-17 non-league loss to Rampart (Colorado Springs, CO). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-9.

With the loss, Eagle Valley falls to 6-6 on the campaign. The Devils host Rifle (Rifle, CO) to battle the Bears in a 4A Western Slope challenge on Tuesday, September 20. The Bears enter the challenge with a record of 8-2. Rifle won 13-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Cedaredge (Cedaredge, CO)
