The Arcola Purple Riders volleyball team (Arcola, IL), was dropped 2-0 in Saturday's non-league challenge with the visiting Newton Eagles (Newton, IL)

The Eagles (15-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Triad (Troy, IL). The Knights enter the non-league challenge with a 4-6 record. In their last challenge, Triad was dropped by Highland (Highland, IL), 2-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Purple Riders meet the Okaw Valley Timberwolves (Bethany, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 17. Arcola will attempt to move on its 1-8 season record. The Timberwolves enter the challenge with a 10-4 record after their 2-1 league loss to Decatur Lutheran (Decatur, IL).
