Illinois High School Volleyball - Richland County edged by Effingham

The Effingham Flaming Hearts held off the host Richland County Tigers volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Flaming Hearts now have a 4-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mahomet-Seymour for a Apollo test on Tuesday, September 20. Effingham will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Normal University (Normal, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 13-3.

The Tigers (5-9) will now prepare for their test against Edwards County (Albion, IL). The Lions enter the non-league test with a 11-7 record. In their last test, Edwards County was nudged by Marion (Marion, IL), 2-0, in a non-league test.
