The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Summit Shasta Black Bears (Daly City, CA) and the host Notre Dame Regents (San Jose, CA), saw Summit Shasta's volleyball squad nip Notre Dame by a tally of 2-1.

With the win, Summit Shasta upgrades its record to 17-4 on the year. The Black Bears travel to Sequoia (Redwood City, CA) to play the Ravens in a non-league bout on Saturday, September 17. The Ravens go into the bout with a record of 3-5. Sequoia lost 3-0 in their recent league bout against Carlmont (Belmont, CA)

The Regents now own a 1-6 record. They play next when they travel to Lowell for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 17. Notre Dame will play a Cardinals squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Washington (San Francisco, CA). The Cardinals record now stands at 6-5.
