The Taft Eagles held off the host Ridgewood Rebels volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Eagles now have a 10-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Fenton for a non-league test on Saturday, September 17. Taft will confront a Bison team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Proviso West (Hillside, IL). The Bison record now stands at 12-5.

The Rebels (11-6) will now prepare for their test against St. Edward (Elgin, IL). The Green Wave enter the Metro Suburban East test with a 4-13 record. In their last test, St. Edward was nudged by Illinois Math & Science (Aurora, IL), 2-1, in a non-league test.
