Fans at Tuesday's non-league battle between the Pike Central Chargers (Petersburg, IN) and the visiting South Knox Spartans (Vincennes, IN), saw Pike Central's soccer squad hold off South Knox by a count of 2-1.

The Chargers (7-3) will now prepare for their battle against Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, IN). The Wildcats enter the Pocket battle with a 6-6 record. In their last battle, Mt. Vernon was edged by Gibson Southern (Fort Branch, IN), 9-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Spartans battle the Vincennes Lincoln Alices (Vincennes, IN) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, September 21. South Knox will attempt to upgrade on its 6-3 season record.
