In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the host William Campbell Generals volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Altavista Colonels.

The Generals (1-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Nelson County (Lovingston, VA). The Governors come into the non-league challenge with a 3-5 record. In their last challenge, Nelson County was nudged by Chatham (Chatham, VA), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Colonels play the Appomattox County Raiders (Appomattox, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, September 19. Altavista will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Raiders come into the challenge with a 6-0 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Gretna (Gretna, VA).
