Cuthbertson Cavaliers (Waxhaw, NC) boosters exited the stadium pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their soccer team get by the visiting Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC), 1-0 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Cuthbertson moves its record to 4-3 on the campaign. The Cavaliers travel to Sun Valley (Monroe, NC) to clash with the Spartans in a Southern Carolina 4A test on Wednesday, September 25. The Spartans come into the test with a record of 3-8.

The Cougars now sport a 6-3 record. They take the field next when they host Elkin for a non-league test on Thursday, September 19. Alexander Central will clash with a Buckin' Elks team coming off a 10-0 league win over East Wilkes (Ronda, NC). The Buckin' Elks record now stands at 5-3.
