The Southwestern Piasa Birds soccer squad scored 6 points and held the host Valmeyer Pirates to 1 in the Piasa Birds non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Piasa Birds now hold a 3-4 record. They play next when they host Pana for a South Central bout on Thursday, September 19. Southwestern will play a Panthers squad coming off a 7-0 league loss to Carlinville (Carlinville, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 2-6.
