North Callaway Thunderbirds (Kingdom City, MO) backers left the game pleased Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Clopton Hawks (Clarksville, MO), 2-1 in a league game.

With the triumph, North Callaway upgrades its record to 9-5 on the year. The Thunderbirds travel to Elsberry (Elsberry, MO) to play the Indians in a Class 2 District 6 game on Thursday, September 19. The Indians enter the game with a record of 1-1. Elsberry won 8-2 in their recent league game against Van-Far (Vandalia, MO)

The Hawks now own a 1-2 record. They play next when they host Montgomery County for a Eastern Missouri game on Thursday, September 19. Clopton will play a Wildcats squad coming off a 11-0 league loss to Bowling Green (Bowling Green, MO). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-1.
