Texas High School Volleyball - Rio Vista tips Avalon

September 17, 2024: Rio Vista, TX 76093

Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the Rio Vista Eagles (Rio Vista, TX) and the visiting Avalon Eagles (Avalon, TX), observed Rio Vista's volleyball team hold off Avalon by a tally of 3-2.

The Eagles (9-12) will now prepare for their contest against Meridian (Meridian, TX). The Yellowjackets enter the 2A Region II District 13 contest with a 1-16 record.

Next, the Eagles meet the Cross Roads Bobcats (Malakoff, TX) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 20. Avalon will attempt to upgrade on its 15-7 season record. The Bobcats enter the contest with a 12-7 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Cumby (Cumby, TX).
