In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the host Portola Bulldogs volleyball team scored a 3-0 victory over the Costa Mesa Mustangs.
The Bulldogs (10-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Laguna Beach (Laguna Beach, CA). The Breakers enter the non-league challenge with a 3-20 record. In their last challenge, Laguna Beach was beaten by Sage Hill (Newport Beach, CA), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Mustangs meet the Ocean View Seahawks (Huntington Beach, CA) in a Golden West challenge, on Thursday, September 19. Costa Mesa will attempt to upgrade on its 10-8 season record. The Seahawks enter the challenge with a 2-18 record after their 3-0 league loss to Segerstrom (Santa Ana, CA).
