In Tuesday's league challenge, the host Union City Bears volleyball team scored a 3-1 victory over the North East Grape Pickers.

The Bears (5-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Northwestern (Albion, PA). The Wildcats enter the District 10 Region 4 challenge with a 0-7 record. In their last challenge, Northwestern was beaten by Cathedral Prep (Erie, PA), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Grape Pickers meet the Seneca Bobcats (Erie, PA) in a District 10 Region 4 challenge, on Thursday, September 19. North East will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Bobcats enter the challenge with a 3-6 record after their 3-0 league win over Girard (Girard, PA).
