In Wednesday's non-league outing, the visiting Avon Eagles soccer squad scored a tight 2-0 victory over the Mentor Cardinals.
The Eagles (7-0) will now prepare for their outing against Hudson (Hudson, OH). The Explorers come into the non-league test with a 1-2 record. In their last test, Hudson edged Wadsworth (Wadsworth, OH), 2-1, in a non-league test.
The Cardinals now have a 9-2 record. They take the field next when they host St. Joseph Academy for a non-league test on Thursday, September 18.
