In Wednesday's league contest, the Hughesville Spartans (Hughesville, PA) soccer team routed the visiting Loyalsock Township Lancers (Williamsport, PA), by a tally of 6-0.

Next, the Spartans face the Warrior Run Defenders (Turbotville, PA) in a PIAA District IV-AA contest, on Tuesday, September 23. Hughesville will attempt to advance on its 6-3 season record. The Defenders enter the contest with a 8-1 record after their 11-0 league win over Mount Carmel (Mount Carmel, PA).

The Lancers (2-5) will now prepare for their contest against Troy (Troy, PA). The Trojans enter the PIAA District IV-AA contest with a 6-1 record. In their last contest, Troy held off North Penn-Mansfield (Mansfield, PA), 6-0, in a league contest.
