MacArthur Generals (Decatur, IL) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Blue Ridge/DeLand-Weldon Knights (Farmer City, IL), 6-1 in a non-league outing.

The Generals (6-5) will now prepare for their outing against Jacksonville (Jacksonville, IL). The Crimsons enter the Central State Eight outing with a 8-2 record. In their last outing, Jacksonville tipped Athens/Greenview/Illini Central (Athens, IL), 9-0, in a non-league outing.

The Knights now sport a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Schlarman for a non-league test on Monday, September 22. Blue Ridge/DeLand-Weldon will clash with a Hilltoppers team coming off a 7-0 league loss to Oakwood/Catlin (Fithian, IL). The Hilltoppers record now stands at 1-9.
