Spectators at Wednesday's non-league game between the Lamar County Trojans (Barnesville, GA) and the host Academy for Classical Education Gryphons (Macon, GA), observed Lamar County's softball team get by Academy for Classical Education by a final score of 7-5.

The Trojans (16-2) will now prepare for their match against Towers (Decatur, GA). The Titans go into the 1A D-I Region 4 match with a 0-4 record. In their last match, Towers by Jasper County (Monticello, GA), 1-0, in a league match.

In their next game, the Gryphons play the Jeff Davis Yellowjackets (Hazlehurst, GA) in a non-league game, on Friday, September 19. Academy for Classical Education will attempt to improve on its 15-6 season record. The Yellowjackets enter the game with a 13-4 record after their 7-0 league win over Brantley County (Nahunta, GA).
