Fans at Wednesday's league contest between the Farwell Eagles (Farwell, MI) and the visiting Meridian Mustangs (Sanford, MI), observed Farwell's volleyball team top Meridian by a tally of 3-1.

The Eagles (3-4) will now prepare for their contest against Beaverton (Beaverton, MI). The Beavers enter the Jack Pine contest with a 4-14 record. In their last contest, Beaverton beat Harrison (Harrison, MI), 3-2, in a league contest.

Next, the Mustangs meet the Pinconning Spartans (Pinconning, MI) in a Jack Pine challenge, on Monday, September 22. Meridian will attempt to upgrade on its 0-7 season record. The Spartans enter the challenge with a 0-6 record after their 3-1 league loss to St. Louis (St. Louis, MI).
