Next, the Wildcats face the Lake Central Indians (St. John, IN) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, September 19. Thornton will attempt to better on its 9-3 season record. The Indians enter the challenge with a 7-5 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to North Central (Indianapolis, IN).

The Wildcats now have a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Yorkville for a Suburban Prairie challenge on Tuesday, September 20. Plainfield Central will face a Foxes team coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Illinois Math & Science (Aurora, IL). The Foxes record now stands at 3-6.
