New York High School Soccer - Athens held off by Maine-Endwell

In Monday's non-league battle, the host Maine-Endwell Spartans soccer squad scored a close 1-0 triumph over the Athens Wildcats.
The Spartans (2-2) will now prepare for their battle against Ithaca (Ithaca, NY). The Little Red come into the Southern Tier Athletic Conference battle with a 2-0 record. In their last battle, Ithaca nudged Elmira (Elmira, NY), 4-0, in a league battle.
The Wildcats (3-3) will now prepare for their battle against Northeast Bradford (Rome, PA). The Panthers come into the PIAA District IV-A bout with a 2-1 record.
