Newton-Conover will attempt to better on its 8-4 season record. The Rebels enter the challenge with a 0-5 record after their 6-1 league loss to Bunker Hill (Claremont, NC).

The Cavaliers now have a 0-8 record. They take the field next when they host Bunker Hill for a Catawba Valley Athletic 2A challenge on Wednesday, September 20. East Burke will confront a Bears team coming off a 6-1 league win over West Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC). The Bears record now stands at 3-4.
