The Irwin County Indians softball team scored 15 runs and limited the visiting Atkinson County Rebels to 0 in the Indians non-league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Irwin County moves its record to 7-5 on the year. The Indians host Cook (Adel, GA) to clash with the Hornets in a non-league game on Tuesday, September 19. The Hornets come into the game with a record of 14-0. Cook won 9-2 in their recent league game against Berrien (Nashville, GA)

In their next game, the Rebels clash with the Charlton County Indians (Folkston, GA) in a 1A D-II Region 2 game, on Tuesday, September 19. Atkinson County will attempt to move on its 3-9 season record. The Indians come into the game with a 5-5 record after their 10-2 non-league loss to Glynn Academy (Brunswick, GA).
