Farmington Knights (Farmington, MO) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Poplar Bluff Mules (Poplar Bluff, MO), 11-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Knights now own a 9-5 record. They take the field next when they host Central for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, September 19. Farmington will face a Tigers squad coming off a 21-6 non-league win over Naylor (Naylor, MO). The Tigers record now stands at 3-11.

With the loss, Poplar Bluff falls to 5-6 on the campaign. The Mules host Jackson (Jackson, MO) to face the Fighting Indians in a Class 4 District 1 challenge on Tuesday, September 19. The Fighting Indians enter the challenge with a record of 21-4. Jackson won 5-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Northwest (Cedar Hill, MO)
