The crowd at Monday's non-league bout between the Marquette Crusaders (Ottawa, IL) and the visiting Flanagan-Cornell Falcons (Flanagan, IL), saw Marquette's volleyball squad beat Flanagan-Cornell by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Marquette upgrades its record to 6-3 on the year. The Crusaders travel to Henry-Senachwine (Henry, IL) to play the Mallards in a Tri-County bout on Thursday, September 21. The Mallards go into the bout with a record of 12-7. Henry-Senachwine won 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Peoria Heights (Peoria Heights, IL)

The Falcons now own a 5-13 record. They play next when they host Eureka for a Heart of Illinois bout on Tuesday, September 19. Flanagan-Cornell will play a Hornets squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Mt. Pulaski (Mt. Pulaski, IL). The Hornets record now stands at 11-5.
