In Monday's league battle, the host Holyoke Purple Knights volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Monument Mountain Spartans.

The Purple Knights (3-1) will now prepare for their battle against Easthampton/Hampshire (Easthampton, MA). The Eagles come into the non-league battle with a 1-2 record.

Next, the Spartans clash with the Taconic Thunder (Pittsfield, MA) in a Pioneer Valley - Central battle, on Tuesday, September 19. Monument Mountain will attempt to advance on its 1-3 season record. The Thunder come into the battle with a 2-2 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Wahconah Regional (Dalton, MA).
