Next up, the Tartars battle the Stringer Red Devils (Stringer, MS) in a Class 2 Region 8 contest, on Thursday, September 21. Taylorsville will attempt to better on its 10-3 season record. The Red Devils go into the contest with a 16-3 record after their 3-0 league win over Mississippi School for the Deaf (Jackson, MS).

With the loss, Meridian moves to 4-12 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Brandon (Brandon, MS) to face the Bulldogs in a Class 7 Region 3 outing on Tuesday, September 19. The Bulldogs go into the outing with a record of 29-4. Brandon lost 2-0 in their recent non-league outing against Houston (Germantown, TN)
