Menchville Monarchs (Newport News, VA) boosters left the game thrilled Wednesday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Peninsula Catholic Knights (Newport News, VA), 3-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, Menchville improves its record to 6-1 on the season. The Monarchs travel to Phoebus (Hampton, VA) to encounter the Phantoms in a Peninsula test on Thursday, September 19. The Phantoms go into the test with a record of 0-7. Phoebus lost 3-0 in their recent league test against Gloucester (Gloucester, VA)

The Knights now own a 0-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Norfolk Christian for a non-league test on Thursday, September 26.
