The Highland Hawks football squad scored 34 points and limited the host Campo Verde Coyotes to 21 in the Hawks non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Hawks now hold a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Westwood for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 24.

With the defeat, Campo Verde drops to 1-3 on the campaign. The Coyotes host Desert Mountain (Scottsdale, AZ) to meet the Wolves in a non-league test on Wednesday, September 25. The Wolves come into the test with a record of 3-0. Desert Mountain won 45-8 in their recent non-league contest against Cactus (Glendale, AZ)
