The crowd at Wednesday's non-league contest between the Sylmar Spartans (Sylmar, CA) and the visiting Bernstein Dragons (Hollywood, CA), witnessed Sylmar's flag football squad edge Bernstein by a tally of 31-25.

The Spartans (3-4) will now prepare for their contest against Panorama (Panorama City, CA). The Pythons enter the Valley Mission contest with a 5-7 record. In their last contest, Panorama got by Franklin (Los Angeles, CA), 33-6, in a non-league outing.

With the defeat, Bernstein drops to 9-3 on the campaign. The Dragons host Mendez (Los Angeles, CA) to clash with the Jaguars in a Central outing on Thursday, September 19. The Jaguars come into the outing with a record of 3-4. Mendez lost 13-0 in their recent league outing against Elizabeth (Cudahy, CA)
