Fans at Wednesday's league contest between the Cornwall Central Dragons (New Windsor, NY) and the host Valley Central Vikings (Montgomery, NY), observed Cornwall Central's volleyball team top Valley Central by a tally of 3-1.

The Dragons (5-1) will now prepare for their contest against Monticello (Monticello, NY). The Panthers enter the Section 9 Orange County III contest with a 1-5 record. In their last contest, Monticello was beaten by O'Neill (Highland Falls, NY), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Vikings meet the Washingtonville Wizards (Washingtonville, NY) in a Section 9 Orange County III contest, on Friday, September 20. Valley Central will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Wizards enter the contest with a 2-6 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Minisink Valley (Slate Hill, NY).
