Franklin Cougars (El Paso, TX) followers went home pleased Thursday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting Americas Trail Blazers (El Paso, TX), 73-20 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Franklin advances its record to 3-1 on the season. The Cougars host Coronado (El Paso, TX) to play the Thunderbirds in a 6A Region I District 1 battle on Thursday, September 25. The Thunderbirds come into the match with a record of 1-3. Coronado won 40-20 in their recent non-league match against Parkland (El Paso, TX)

The Trail Blazers now have a 2-2 record. They play next when they host Parkland for a 5A-1 Region I District 1 battle on Friday, September 26. Americas will play a Matadors team coming off a 40-20 non-league loss to Coronado (El Paso, TX). The Matadors record now stands at 1-3.
