In Thursday's non-league match, the host New Britain Golden Hurricanes football squad scored a decisive 46-6 victory over the Hall/Conard Warchiefs.

The Golden Hurricanes (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Fairfield Prep (Fairfield, CT). The Jesuits enter the non-league battle with a 3-0 record. In their last battle, Fairfield Prep walloped Xavier (Middletown, CT), 35-0, in a non-league battle.
