Fans at Thursday's non-league battle between the Carroll Patriots (Dayton, OH) and the host Valley View Spartans (Germantown, OH), saw Carroll's soccer squad hold off Valley View by a count of 5-4.

The Patriots (5-5) will now prepare for their battle against Badin (Hamilton, OH). The Rams enter the Greater Catholic League Co-Ed battle with a 5-3 record.

Next up, the Spartans confront the Fairborn Skyhawks (Fairborn, OH) in a non-league battle, on Monday, September 22. Valley View will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record. The Skyhawks enter the battle with a 7-2 record after their 3-0 league loss to Tippecanoe (Tipp City, OH).
