The crowd at Thursday's non-league contest between the Salisbury Hornets (Salisbury, NC) and the host Carson Cougars (China Grove, NC), witnessed Salisbury's football squad knock off Carson by a tally of 24-16.
The Hornets (1-3) will now prepare for their bout against Jay M. Robinson (Concord, NC). The Bulldogs go into the non-league bout with a 2-0 record. In their last bout, Jay M. Robinson overcame East Rowan (Salisbury, NC), 32-7, in a non-league bout.
The Cougars now own a 2-2 record. They play next when they travel to West Rowan for a non-league bout on Thursday, September 25. Carson will encounter a Falcons team coming off a 37-8 non-league win over Concord (Concord, NC). The Falcons record now stands at 2-1.
