The Cuthbertson Cavaliers football squad scored 17 points and limited the visiting Porter Ridge Pirates to 14 in the Cavaliers non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Cavaliers now sport a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Piedmont for a non-league challenge on Thursday, September 25. Cuthbertson will face a Panthers team coming off a 42-0 non-league loss to Marvin Ridge (Waxhaw, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 2-2.

The Pirates (2-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Charlotte Catholic (Charlotte, NC). The Cougars enter the non-league challenge with a 1-4 record. In their last challenge, Charlotte Catholic was edged by Weddington (Matthews, NC), 31-0, in a non-league challenge.
