In Thursday's non-league challenge, the visiting Madison Patriots volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Asheville School (Independent) Blues.

The Patriots (3-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Avery County (Newland, NC). The Vikings enter the non-league challenge with a 9-4 record. In their last challenge, Avery County beat Mitchell (Bakersville, NC), 2-0, in a non-league test.

The Blues now own a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Rabun Gap-Nacoochee for a test on Tuesday, September 23. Asheville School (Independent) will face a Eagles squad coming off a 2-0 league win over Carolina Day (Asheville, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 2-0.
