Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Union Pines Vikings (Cameron, NC) and the visiting West Johnston Wildcats (Benson, NC), observed Union Pines's volleyball team top West Johnston by a count of 2-0.

The Vikings (10-5) will now prepare for their contest against South Johnston (Four Oaks, NC). The Trojans enter the contest with a 12-0 record. In their last contest, South Johnston notched a victory over Harnett Central (Angier, NC), 2-0, in a league test.

The Wildcats now own a 10-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lee County for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 23.
