In Thursday's non-league outing, the host Artesia Bulldogs soccer squad scored a tight 5-1 win over the Carlsbad Cavemen/Cavegirls.
The Bulldogs (10-2) will now prepare for their outing against Los Lunas (Los Lunas, NM). The Tigers enter the non-league outing with a 1-8 record. In their last outing, Los Lunas tipped Gallup (Gallup, NM), 10-0, in a non-league outing.
Next up, the Cavemen/Cavegirls clash with the Organ Mountain Knights (Las Cruces, NM) in a non-league test, on Saturday, September 20. Carlsbad will attempt to advance on its 2-9 season record. The Knights come into the test with a 6-3 record after their 4-3 non-league win over Hobbs (Hobbs, NM).
