The Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy Gryphons soccer squad scored 3 points and held the visiting Asheville School (Independent) Blues to 2 in the Gryphons non-league win on Thursday.
Next, the Gryphons face the Jackson Day Mariners (Charlotte, NC) in a Catawba River 1A/2A/3A contest, on Monday, September 22. Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy will attempt to advance on its 9-1 season record. The Mariners enter the contest with a 7-3 record after their 8-1 league win over Carolina International (Concord, NC).
The Blues (2-5) will now prepare for their contest against Carmel Christian (Matthews, NC). The Cougars enter the non-league contest with a 3-4 record. In their last contest, Carmel Christian Porter Ridge (Indian Trail, NC), 2-2, in a non-league contest.
