The Rootstown Rovers smashed the host Chippewa Chipps soccer team by a tally of 7-1 in Thursday's non-league game.
Next, the Rovers face the Wickliffe Blue Devils (Wickliffe, OH) in a Chagrin Valley - Valley game, on Tuesday, September 23. Rootstown will attempt to better on its 8-2 season record. The Blue Devils go into the challenge with a 2-7 record after their 4-0 non-league win over Jefferson Area (Jefferson, OH).
With the loss, Chippewa moves to 4-8 on the year. The Chipps travel to Smithville (Smithville, OH) to encounter the Smithies in a Wayne County challenge on Tuesday, September 23.
