In Thursday's non-league outing, the visiting West Chicago Wildcats soccer squad scored a tight 2-0 victory over the Streamwood Sabres.
The Wildcats (5-5) will now prepare for their outing against Oak Park-River Forest (Oak Park, IL). The Huskies go into the non-league outing with a 8-1 record. In their last outing, Oak Park-River Forest got by Dundee-Crown (Carpentersville, IL), 3-1, in a non-league test.
The Sabres now have a 4-7 record. They take the field next when they host Elgin for a Upstate Eight - West test on Tuesday, September 23. Streamwood will clash with a Maroons team coming off a 1-0 non-league win over Lake Park (Roselle, IL). The Maroons record now stands at 5-4.
