Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the West Liberty Comets (West Liberty, IA) and the visiting Alburnett Pirates (Alburnett, IA), observed West Liberty's volleyball team top Alburnett by a count of 3-0.

The Comets (7-5) will now prepare for their contest against Muscatine (Muscatine, IA). The Muskies enter the non-league contest with a 5-8 record. In their last contest, Muscatine was knocked off by Assumption (Davenport, IA), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Pirates meet the Wilton Beavers (Wilton, IA) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, September 23. Alburnett will attempt to upgrade on its 2-10 season record. The Beavers come into the challenge with a 11-2 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Fulton (Fulton, IL).
