Voorheesville Blackbirds (Voorheesville, NY) backers were pleased Thursday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Cohoes Tigers (Cohoes, NY), 3-0 in a league challenge.

The Blackbirds (1-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Duanesburg (Delanson, NY). The Eagles come into the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record.

Next, the Tigers meet the Troy Flying Horses (Troy, NY) in a Section 2 Colonial - Liberty challenge, on Tuesday, September 23. Cohoes will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Flying Horses come into the challenge with a 5-0 record after their 3-0 league win over La Salle Institute (Troy, NY).
