In Thursday's non-league contest, the George Rogers Clark Cardinals (Winchester, KY) volleyball team nipped the host Nicholas County Bluejackets (Carlisle, KY), by a count of 2-1.
The Cardinals (11-4) will now prepare for their contest against Woodford County (Versailles, KY). The Yellowjackets enter the non-league contest with a 6-3 record. In their last contest, Woodford County was tipped by Tates Creek (Lexington, KY), 3-1, in a non-league contest.
Next, the Bluejackets meet the Wolfe County Wolves (Campton, KY) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, September 20. Nicholas County will attempt to upgrade on its 8-5 season record.
