Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Hamilton Lions (Hamilton, MS) and the visiting Starkville Academy Volunteers (Starkville, MS), saw Hamilton's volleyball squad notch a victory over Starkville Academy by a score of 3-1.

With the win, Hamilton improves its record to 9-6 on the season. The Lions host Hatley (Amory, MS) to encounter the Tigers in a Class 2A Region 1 battle on Tuesday, September 23. The Tigers go into the battle with a record of 12-12.

The Volunteers now own a 0-14 record. They take the field next when they host Choctaw County for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, September 30.
