In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host Paul W. Bryant Stampede volleyball team scored a 3-0 victory over the Jackson-Olin Mustangs.

The Stampede (5-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Northridge (Tuscaloosa, AL). The Jaguars enter the 6A Area 6 challenge with a 9-5 record.

Next, the Mustangs meet the Parker Thundering Herd (Birmingham, AL) in a 6A Area 9 test, on Monday, September 22. Jackson-Olin will attempt to improve on its 0-5 season record. The Thundering Herd go into the test with a 2-5 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Hueytown (Hueytown, AL).
